Our Formation Program - A Culinary Internship
The overall goal of our program is to help formerly incarcerated persons to experience a smooth transition and integration back into society through personal formation and self improvement, skills development, networking and social responsibility. This PAID internship lasts for six months, but can be extended for up to a year.

The Method
Interns will participate in a host of activities designed to help them meet their goals, including:
Work part time on the line in the food truck preparing meals for customers
Formation “classes” in a comfortable setting
Regular “family” dinners with the other interns and PG&G team to build community
Weekly volunteer work
Regular networking with potential future employers
Regular skills training opportunities
Discernment opportunities
Monthly in-person retreats with cohort
The Content
The formation program will consist of four pillars based on a program Fr. Leo experienced during his own professional development.
Intellectual Formation – not just academics, but how to discern, build knowledge, and find facts.
Spiritual Formation – getting in touch with a healthy community. Deepening spiritual insights. This program is NOT about one religion or another but about getting in touch with a higher power that helps overcome struggles in life.
Pastoral Formation – How to give back and be a person of service. How to become generous. How to foster an identity that connects to other people in a loving and peaceful way.
Human Formation – learning about ourselves, leveraging our good qualities, improving some of our challenging and negative ones, being a bridge rather than a barrier.
